About Building a Legacy
Following our success at the Social Business Wales awards during September 2019, the Community Impact Initiative ended the year strongly by being shortlisted for the UK Social Enterprise Awards in the ‘One to Watch’ category.
Held at the Guidhall in London, the UK Social Enterprise Awards recognises businesses that give back, enrich communities and make a contribution to society, as well as those who lead them.
The ‘One to Watch’ category celebrates social enterprises across the UK that have demonstrated significant impact in a relatively short amount of time and have the potential to grow and deliver sustained impact.
Although we didn’t win the award on this occasion, we were thrilled to be nominated for such a prestigious award in such fantastic company. The level of competition was extremely high and demonstrated the strength of the sector and the importance of community-based operations.
We’re delighted to be part of the social enterprise sector in the UK and look forward to seeing what 2020 and further brings!
