BRiC – Building Resilience in Communities – is an exciting skill development and community-regeneration project that supports people from a range of backgrounds to improve their health and wellbeing, build their confidence, learn new skills, achieve qualifications, and make positive life improvements through the renovation of empty properties.
About the project
BRiC supports people across the Neath, Afan, Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach and Cynon valleys to learn new skills and develop a sense of community pride, providing a meaningful stepping-stone into employment or other positive aspirations.
Funded by the Pen y Cymoedd Community Fund, BRiC regenerates empty properties in these communities and returns them to the housing market, reducing empty property numbers and reducing the effects of antisocial behaviour, crime, and vandalism.
Who is it for?
The project is eligible to anyone aged 16+ and is free to attend, supporting people across these valleys to build their confidence, motivation, and self-esteem in an active, supportive, and empathetic learning environment.
